Fall Burlap Wreaths: 3 Beautiful DIY Craft Ideas

I love crafting with my sister whenever she’s in town. Our latest craft obsession is making burlap wreaths. Earlier this summer, I shared an easy tutorial for how to make burlap wreaths using two different color ribbons. Several weeks ago while I was on vacation with my sister and my parents, we taught our mother how to make them too. This time we made Fall Burlap Wreaths, so we’d be ready to decorate for the change in seasons. We’re thrilled with how they turned out and wanted to share them with you.

In this ultimate guide, you'll learn how to make a burlap wreath with ribbon for your home. The FREE eBook includes easy step-by-step instructions plus inspiring craft and decor ideas to make wreaths for fall, Christmas, Easter and other holidays.

3 Ideas for Fall Burlap Wreaths

Whether you like to hang a wreath on your front door or your living room wall, I hope these 3 beautiful Fall Burlap Wreaths inspire you to create one for your home this fall too.

Idea 1: Denim and Pumpkin Burlap Wreath

I’ll start by sharing the wreath I made. As you can tell from my summer wreath, I love the color orange and wanted to keep that color in my wreath for fall. I also had denim ribbon leftover from a wreath I made for a charity raffle last month. I thought it would combine well with burlap to give my wreath a down home country feel.

I added a crafty pumpkin welcome sign my sister found for me at a local craft store. I also glued on a large sunflower, a few large leaves and some corn stalks.

Idea 2: Acorns and Glitter Burlap Wreath

Next, I’ll share my sister’s wreath. She prefers to decorate her home in neutral or natural colors, but for fall she wanted to add in a little sparkle of color. She found metal acorn bells to hang from the center and arranged artificial flowers to be the focal point, front and center at the top of her wreath.

When my sister showed me the two different kinds of wide glittery ribbon she wanted to use, I wasn’t sure how fancy ribbons like that would look with burlap. She has a knack for home decor, though, so I wasn’t surprised when her wreath turned out to be stunningly gorgeous!

Idea 3: Dark Brown and Red Polka Dot Burlap Wreath

Last, but not least, is the wreath my mother created. She and I have very similar taste and style. She chose to use a very wide red ribbon with white polka dots and incorporated a dark brown ribbon alongside it to make the wreath appropriate for the season.

Red is my favorite color, so I also love the huge red flower my mother centered at the top of her wreath. The metal sign my sister found for her at a local craft store brings in some subtle fall leaves, but could easily be changed out in December to make this wreath work for Christmas too.
