How To Make Food Processor Buttermilk Scones
1.) Put the ingredients in the food processor
Using the food processor helps you get the butter evenly distributed when you’re first blending it into the flour, and when it melts while baking, it produces the air pockets that make these Buttermilk Scones so fluffy. The trick is to use really cold butter.
2.) Cut Dough into Wedges
After your dough is completely mixed, you are ready to cut the shapes of your scones.
I prefer my scones in wedges rather than squares, so I do a big circle and cut it with a sharp knife or a pizza cutter.
3.) Place the scones on a cookie sheet
Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup and pop them in the oven while you wash the food processor. So easy!
You’ll be rewarded with golden Food Processor Buttermilk Scones that are a great addition to any breakfast, brunch or afternoon tea.

I read through quite a few recipes to find one that wasn’t too involved. I saw this one with no ratings but took a chance in it. It was simple and it worked really well. The scones turned out light and fluffy and were delicious.
Great recipe and I shall definitely make this recipe again.

When should I ad “add ins”?
Hi Karen,
I’ve haven’t tried including add-ins with this scone recipe, but if I did, I’d put it in just before the eggs and buttermilk. If you give it a try, please come back and let us know.
Best wishes,
Carrie
