Hot cocoa is perfect for this time of year and it’s enjoyed long after the holidays are gone. I tried a few different combinations and came up with this easy-to-make, super delicious recipe. I even designed some labels that you can download for free, making this mixture the perfect, homemade gift idea.

Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients, except the marshmallows, in a large bowl and stir to combine.
  • Place in a sealed container.
  • To prepare the hot cocoa, place 1/3 cup cocoa mix into a mug.
  • Fill with hot milk and stir until well blended.
  • Top with mini marshmallows, and stir with a cinnamon stick for added flavor.

How to Make Hot Cocoa Mix Gifts

Now that you have the recipe, go ahead and create it. Then fill your jar(s) with this hot cocoa mix and top it off with a few extra chocolate chips and add a pretty bow. You can also print the free instruction label or tags onto card stock, cut them out, punch a hole in the top and tie them with ribbon, string or baker’s twine.

These jars of homemade hot cocoa are great when you need a hostess gift or something for a teacher, mail carrier or hairdresser. You can pair them with a pretty mug or tea towel and you’ve got a very thoughtful, yummy gift! And the recipient gets to enjoy a delicious treat and continue to enjoy the beautiful jar when finished!

    I am trying to find something easy and inexpensive to put together to sell at our local Christmas bazaar to help make some Christmas money but having a hard time figuring something out

      Thanks for your question. The recipe included in the post fills about 10 jars that hold 1 cup each, including the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. So it depends on how big your jar is, and also how many marshmallows and chocolate chips you add.
