These salted caramel butter bars are impossible to turn down. The salty sweet combination is just perfect for any summer gathering or potluck you’re planning.
Hi, my Kenarry friends! It’s Robin from A Home to Grow Old In. It’s been a snowy spring, but we are finally starting to get some warmer weather here in New England. My husband and I just pulled our patio furniture out of our shed (fingers crossed that we are finally done with snow), and now I’m itching for our first neighborhood barbecue of the year.
How I Got Inspired
Last summer, I shared my lemon bars recipe, so you may be starting to notice a pattern. There’s something about a dessert bar recipe that just seems right for summertime get-togethers. My inspiration for these salted caramel butter bars that I’m sharing today came from a recent trip to Epcot in Disney World. There was a store in the Germany section that had an amazing caramel butter bar, but I do have to say that this salted version is even better!

I am making bars for my daughter’s wedding and need to make them on Wednesday or Thursday with wedding being on Saturday and was wondering if I could freeze these bars until Saturday.
Hi Jody,
Great question! You could freeze the salted caramel butter bars, but you want to make sure you give them enough time to thaw before the wedding reception. Your guests won’t like biting into cold/frozen caramel. I’d suggest taking them back out of the freezer on Friday night. Alternately, you could just refrigerate the bars since it’s only going to be a few days between when you’re making them and the wedding. If you’ve got a few weeks yet until the wedding, you could try making a test batch to see how they refrigerate or freeze.
Congratulations on your daughter’s wedding! Enjoy the salted caramel butter bars.
Best wishes,
Carrie
