Follow these quick and easy steps fort a bright and cheery Spring tablescape with flower folded napkins as the perfect finishing touch.
Happy Spring, Kenarry friends! I’m Rita Joy from Harbour Breeze Home and today I’m sharing a quick & easy little project to celebrate the start of a new season.
Even if the weather still feels a little cold to really be Spring (like where I live!), it’s still fun to pull out some cheery and bright colors to make our spaces feel like warmer days are just around the corner.
The other day we had dinner with some friends. It was the perfect excuse to put a Spring tablescape together.

I wanted the table to be filled with happy color, so I started with a yellow runner (this is similar) down the center of the table.
Alternating placemats ~ woven, blue, & yellow ~ added in extra color & texture and acheived a mix-and-match casual look. It not only looked colorful, but helped me to use what I already had to make up the number of place settings I needed.;)
The centerpiece was 2 bunches of tulips from the grocery store placed in white vases and clear containers. They were trimmed short enough so guests could look over them and visit with each other. Grouping them together in the center of the table also allowed for lots of room on either side to put dishes of food. (An important element to a dinner party!)
After alternating dark blue and floral napkins on each place setting, I wanted something to add a little more interest. So, out came the white cloth napkins, and in just a few minutes, they became flowers to perch on the top.
I tucked a little greenery underneath each to give it a pop of color and contrast.
If you’d like to try this quick and fun folding technique, I did a little video to show you how.
Happy folding, and Happy Spring day!
