'Tis the season to gather with friends and family for holiday cocktail parties! Bacon Spinach Blossoms with roasted red peppers and Italian cheeses are a festive holiday appetizer your Christmas guests will devour.
Roll out the crescent dough on an ungreased cookie sheet.
In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese and crumbled bacon bits. Use a spatula to spread the cream cheese mixture in a thin layer across the crescent dough.
Top with chopped roasted red peppers.
Create a layer of baby spinach. No need to chop the baby spinach in advance. Just remove the stems.
Sprinkle with Italian shredded cheese.
Roll the crescent dough end-to-end lengthwise. Tuck the baby spinach leaves in as you go. Freeze for 30 minutes.
Carefully cut the crescent dough roll into 1/2 inch slices with a sharp knife.
Place the sliced Bacon Spinach Blossoms on a lightly greased cookie sheet a few inches apart.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!
