Christmas Tree Sugar Cookies
Create my Christmas Tree Sugar Cookies using my favorite no spread sugar cookie dough and a little Christmas cheer.
Servings 16 cookies
- 3/4 Cup Salted Butter softened
- 3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
- 2 1/4 Cups Flour
- 2 Cups Green Candy Melts
- 1/2 Cup White Nonpareil Sprinkles
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together 3/4 cup butter and 3/4 cup sugar.
Mix in a large egg and 1 TBSP vanilla extract.
Slowly mix in the 2 1/4 cups flour.
Roll the cookie dough out onto a piece of floured parchment paper and use a scalloped cookie cutter to cut out as many cookies as you can.
Transfer the cookie cut outs to the baking pan, bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
In a small microwave safe bowl, heat the candy melts on 50% power for 3-4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
Cut a tiny tip off the bottom of a decorating bag and fill it with the melted candy melts.
Draw a tree onto each cookie using a back and forth motion.
Immediately top with white sprinkles and let harden at room temperature.
