DIY Faux Ceramic Vase

This easy tutorial creates a high end looking vase!

Equipment

  • Paint Brush
  • Bowl
  • Vase

Supplies

  • 1 cup paint
  • 2 tbsp baking soda
  • handful coffee grounds
  • matte spray paint sealer

Instructions

  • Mix together your paint and baking soda. Until well combined. Paint your vase in circular motions, covering the entire vase. Let dry completely between coats. You will need between 2-3 coats of paint.
  • After painting the final coat, let dry for 5 minutes. Pick up your handful of coffee grounds and rub on the paint to distress, making sure to focus on the parts that would show wear, such as the rim and bottom.
  • Once happy with your distressing, spray with the sealer and let dry.
