My dog MooMoo is spoiled and gets a BarkBox every month that’s comes with two bags of treats which are his favorite. But as a dog mom who gives her dog a treats a few small treats every time he goes out, they don’t last all month. That’s why I also love making my own to give him with just a few pantry products.

I pretty much always have bananas, peanut butter, oats and chicken stock in my house. So that makes it pretty easy to make my own dog treats. If you plan on making your own too, always make sure to buy a dog safe peanut butter too, which means no chocolate and no xylitol. Both can be very harmful to your dog.

FAQS
See? It really is that easy to bake up some dog treats at home. Here are some frequently asked questions – see if your question made the list. If not, leave it in the comments below.
Do I have to use a silicone mold?
No, that’s not a requirement. Your dog won’t care if they are round, square, cut into bars, or dropped onto a cookie sheet without any shape at all. I like using the mold because it’s so much more fun.
Can people eat homemade dog treats?
Yes, these bone-shaped dog treats are safe for us to eat. We might not think they taste as good! Peanut butter banana with some chicken stock and no sugar? It works but might be a strange flavor combo.
How do you store them?
Keep the baked dog treats in an airtight container and store them at room temperature. You don’t have to refrigerate them.
