5 Minute Chocolate Almond Fudge

5 Minute Chocolate Almond Fudge is an easy holiday dessert to make for Christmas. This recipe is sure to become a favorite family tradition.

Hi, Friends! I’m Rita Joy from Harbour Breeze Home, and I’ve been busy getting ready for the upcoming holiday season.

Today I’d like to share with you my son’s favorite Christmas treat ~ 5 Minute Chocolate Almond Fudge. It’s become a tradition in our home, and he makes sure I don’t forget to make it!:)

Here’s how to make 5 minute Chocolate Almond Fudge:

1. Assemble the ingredients:

2. Line a 8 x 8 inch pan with wax paper and measure out the chocolate chips and vanilla.

3.  In a saucepan, combine the sugar, evaporated milk, butter, marshmallows and salt.

4.  Cook over medium heat until marshmallows are melted and mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

4. Remove from heat and working quickly, stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla.

5. As soon as the chocolate chips are melted, pour mixture into the wax paper lined pan. (It sets up quickly, so work fast!) Cool in the refrigerator.

6. When chilled and set, flip the fudge out of the pan and peel off the wax paper. Cut into squares and sprinkle with chopped almonds, pressing them into the tops.

This fudge freezes nicely, so I tuck it away and bring it out for special events during the month of December.

Equipment

  • saucepan
  • 8 x 8 inch pan
  • Wax paper

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2/3 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 12 large marshmallows
  • dash of salt
  • 1 2/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • chopped almonds optional

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, marshmallows, and salt. Stir over medium heat until marshmallows are melted and mixture comes to a boil; boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat; stir chocolate chips and vanilla into the mixture until completely blended into a smooth, shiny fudge.
  • Pour fudge into an 8×8 inch wax-paper lined pan. Cool in refrigerator.
  • When cooled, cut into small squares.
  • Sprinkle with chopped almonds if desired.
