Think a vacuum is a bad Christmas gift? Think again! What woman doesn’t want clean floors? It’s easy to help her battle the epic messes of day to day life with a busy family thanks to the Eureka Suction Seal 2.0! Today I’m sharing the top 10 reasons your wife wants clean floors for Christmas, even if she doesn’t know it yet. Believe it or not, I’ve got a great idea to make a new vacuum the PERFECT present to make her feel special and appreciated this year.
There’s a phrase I often see on signs in home decor stores. It says:
“Good moms have sticky floors, dirty ovens and happy kids.”
It always makes me smile. I’ve been tempted to buy it several times just to make myself feel better. The truth of the matter, though, is we want it all. We want to be good moms, we want to have happy kids AND we want clean floors. Is that really too much to ask? Day in and day out, your wife battles the epic messes left behind by children, a husband and pets. She needs tools that make her job easier and more efficient so she can enjoy her time making happy memories with her family. I invite you to consider giving her the gift of clean floors this Christmas, starting with the Eureka Suction Seal 2.0.
Now I know what you’re thinking… you’ve always been told “whatever you do, do NOT give your wife a vacuum or appliance of any kind for Christmas!” Cleaning tools are not considered personal or thoughtful enough. I’m here to tell you that’s just not true. Let’s talk about why clean floors would be a great gift for your wife and help you make it her favorite Christmas present ever.
The Top 10 Reasons Your Wife Wants Clean Floors for Christmas (Even If She Doesn’t Know It Yet!)
Disclaimer: I use the term “wife” and “she” here since vacuuming normally falls under my domain of household chores. I don’t mean to be sexist. If your husband is the primary vacuum user in your household, this would be a great gift for him too for many of the same reasons!
10. She has started to claim the dog hair on her clothes is a fashion accessory.
While I love our golden retriever mix mutt of a dog, she sheds and sheds… and sheds some more.
Our dog spends a lot of time lying around the living room while the boys and I play. I can hardly believe all the the dog hair I was able to pick up in our living room alone with just one pass of the Eureka Suction Seal 2.0. Believe it or not, we JUST had our carpets professionally cleaned a few weeks ago too!
9. Your child thinks it’s funny to stomp across cereal on the kitchen floor. Your wife does not.
Children can’t seem to keep their food on their plates. It always ends up on the floor under the dining room table or around the highchair. Sometimes I even find cereal clear across the hardwood floors of the kitchen. If I’m lucky the dog handles the clean-up, but more often than not, my four year old manages to find and crush it first. The Eureka Suction Seal 2.0 has AirSpeed Technology which means it uses a wide tube of air with minimal bends and twists that allows air to move freely across a shorter and more direct path. This also means it can easily pick up cereal without getting clogged!
8. She’s attracted to your streamlined buzz cut, but doesn’t like when her socks attract the hair you’ve left behind on the bathroom floor.
Kent keeps his hair buzzed very short. He does it himself with clippers every 2-3 weeks. He also cuts both of the boys’ hair. It saves us quite a bit of money over the course of the year, but always creates an epic mess on the tile floor in our bathroom. The Eureka Suction Seal 2.0 has been engineered to provide maximum suction power, even on tile, so no hair is left behind. The Suction Seal has plates that raise and lower against the surface maintaining suction and seal without scattering the hair in a million directions.
7. She’s begun to define the four seasons of the year as: mud, dirt, leaves and snow.
We live in Michigan where we enjoy all four seasons of the year. When you’re a mother, though, you start to judge the seasons by what your children are tracking into the house. Mud in the spring, dirt (and sand!) throughout the summer, leaves in the fall and of course, snow in the winter. I wouldn’t recommend using the Eureka Suction Seal 2.0 on snow or wet surfaces, but after they dry it helps clean up the huge mess left behind. The Eureka Suction Seal 2.0 also has a high efficiency allergen filter to help reduce the dust and seasonal allergens that circulate through the house.
6. Chalk doesn’t always end up on the chalkboard.
The boys and I love to make art projects and do other activities in our craft room. One of the walls in the craft room is covered in chalkboard paint. The boys enjoy drawing and writing all over the wall. Thus far, they seem to understand that’s the ONLY wall in the house they’re allowed to write on. However, they get a big kick out of dumping the chalk all over the floor and pounding the eraser anywhere they want. Fortunately, we installed a laminate wood floor in there for easy clean up. The on board attachments on the Eureka Suction Seal 2.0 work great for cleaning baseboards and other crevices. It even has a 12 foot deluxe stretch hose for hard to reach places.
5. She appreciates when you’re frugal.
The Eureka Suction Seal 2.0 is currently on Rollback at Walmart from $148.88 to only $129. You can find it in the vacuum and flooring aisle:
4. She’s tired just from hauling out all the tools it takes to clean.
In our home, we have hardwood floors, carpeting, tile and laminate flooring. Each one requires a different level of care to maintain. The Eureka Suction Seal 2.0 has concentrated airflow, 5-setting height adjustment and a brushroll that turns on to deep clean carpets and off for scatterproof bare floor cleaning. No need to haul out a broom, a vacuum and a duster to get clean floors. One vacuum can do it all! Plus the Eureka Suction Seal 2.0 has a 27 foot cord with automatic rewind so she can quickly put it away when she’s done vacuuming.
3. Her day feels like one epic mess after another.
With two little kids at home, I often feel like I just get done cleaning one mess when I turn around and they’ve created another. I swear some days I feel like the woman in this video:

2. The kids love to help her cook, but aren’t so good about keeping the ingredients in the mixing bowl.
It’s so fun to cook with the kids. They enjoy being big helpers and dumping cups, teaspoons and tablespoons of different ingredients into my stand alone mixer. Inevitably though, my son turns the beaters to full blast instead of easing into it. The next thing I know I’ve got a huge mess all over the counters and floors.
1. She loves when YOU vacuum.
While I’ve given you lots of great reasons to give your wife clean floors and a new vacuum for Christmas this year, what would REALLY make it a special gift is if YOU offered to do all the vacuuming for a while! After you wrap up the Eureka Suction Seal 2.0 with a big shiny bow and put it under the Christmas tree, add a stack of these free printable coupons she can redeem to have YOU do the vacuuming while she kicks her feet up and relaxes with her favorite beverage. In fact, why not wrap up the makings for her favorite beverage to go along with the gift?
Now THAT, my friends, is a gift your wife will REALLY love this Christmas!
