Oh what a “hoppy” day it will be when your kids find these Easter gift tags on the treats in their Easter baskets. Get free printable Easter cards today – exclusive for Kenarry Idea Insiders!

Looking for an easy treat idea for your child’s Easter basket? Attach these “Oh Hoppy Day” Easter gift tags to candy, snacks or even a stuffed bunny. The free printable Easter cards we’re sharing today feature a colorful Easter egg that’s sure to bring a smile to any kid’s face.

What a

Each year for Easter, one of our holiday traditions is to fill a basket or fabric bin for each of our kids with small toys, books, candy and treats. As you know, at Easter time, there’s an abundance of chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, marshmallow peeps and candy to put in Easter baskets. So I try to find at least one or two non-candy snacks to counterbalance all that sugar in our kids’ Easter baskets.

Several years ago, I created cute Cheddar Bunny Carrots using a cellophane bag folded into a cone shape like a carrot. To get it the orange color for the carrots, I filled the bags with cheddar crackers shaped like bunnies.

What a

The last several years I’ve just filled small cellophane bags with various flavors of rabbit shaped graham crackers. Each year I’ve come up with different Easter gift tags to attach to the bag. One year it was a cute “Somebunny Loves You” tag. Then, another year I shared our Happy Easter free printable tags. And, recently it was these cute Easter Bunny Gift Tags.

This time around I’ve made a fun little variation on the Happy Easter message and went with “Oh Hoppy Day” for the treat bags. All of the Easter gift tags I’ve created are available as FREE digital downloads for Kenarry Idea Insiders.

What a

In addition, both the cute Easter egg and “Oh Hoppy Day” designs on this year’s Easter gift tags are part of our collection of printable Easter art on Etsy. Kenarry Idea Insiders get an exclusive 25% off discount from our Etsy shop in addition to the free printable Easter gift tags!

This printable Easter art helps you easily update your walls with spring home decor. The collection includes carrots and Happy Easter chalkboard art print.

The free printable Easter gift tags are designed to print on 8 1/2 x 11″ card stock using your home computer and color printer.

What a

What You Need:

  • Access to a computer and color printer
  • White card stock
  • Scissors or paper trimmer
  • 1-Hole Punch
  • Twine or ribbon
  • Clear cellophane treat bags
  • Small crackers or treats – I used the Annie’s Organic Friends Bunny Grahams for these treats. If you’re making a bunch for a big group, these individual packs of the bunny crackers would be convenient.

Once you have the file, print the Easter gift tags in color on white card stock.

What a

2. Cut and punch the Easter gift tags.

Start by cutting the tags apart. For the straightest lines, I recommend using a paper trimmer. But if you just want to hop to it and get the job done, then use the scissors!

What a

Next, take your single hole punch and put a hole in the top corner on the left side. You’ll use this hole to tie the Easter gift tags onto the treat bags.

What a

3. Fill the treat bags.

Now fill the cellophane bags with whatever special treats you want to use for your child’s Easter basket.

What a

4. Tie on the Easter gift tags.

To tie the Easter gift tags onto your treat bags, you can use either ribbon or twine. For ours, I first secured the top of the treat bags closed with a twist tie. Then I wrapped twine around and around the top until the twist tie was covered.

What a

After that I slipped one end of the twine through the hole in the Easter gift tag. Then I tied the twine into a cute and simple little bow.

What a

5. Fill any remaining bags.

Repeat this whole process with any remaining cellophane bags until you have enough treats for all of your children’s Easter baskets.

What a

These free printable Easter gift tags would also be fun for a Sunday school class treat like these No-Bake Bird’s Nest Cookies paired with this adorable Paper Plate Bunny Hat. Or use them with small bags of carrots as a healthy spring snack for a school party or a play date.
