Use homemade body scrub recipes to exfoliate your skin. DIY sugar scrubs are a great gift idea for Mother’s Day, a bridal shower, teachers and more!

Every homemade body scrub recipe you need to make great gifts for Mother's Day, teacher appreciation, bridal showers, holidays and friends.

Who could use a little extra pampering right about now? Mothers, teachers and brides-to-be always come to mind for me, especially in the spring. Homemade body scrub recipes are easy to make and look so cute in small jars as gifts for Mother’s Day, Teacher Appreciation Week or bridal showers. Of course, you deserve a little pampering too! Make a homemade body scrub for yourself to exfoliate and get your skin ready for summer.

Every homemade body scrub recipe you need to make great gifts for Mother's Day, teacher appreciation, bridal showers, holidays and friends.

Warm spring weather makes me think of sandals, flip-flops and getting ready for summer! One way to get ready for summer is to remove all those dead skin cells that have built up over the winter with an exfoliating homemade body scrub. Making a homemade body scrub yourself at home is easy to do. In fact you probably have most of the ingredients you need right in your kitchen.

I’ve seen so many inspiring homemade body scrub recipes lately that I had to round them up to share with you. If you like any of these ideas though, please click through and pin from the original source, not from Ideas for the Home by Kenarry®. These bloggers work very hard to create fantastic content and deserve all the credit. If you want to save the entire collection for later, you’ll find a collage image at the end of the post for pinning and sharing.

I especially think a homemade body scrub would be a great DIY gift idea for Mother’s Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, a bridal shower or a friend who could use a little pick-me-up! Several weeks ago, I came across this cute Bath Towel Flower Bouquet DIY Gift Idea from Just Misty that would be perfect for displaying your homemade body scrub gift (as of March 2020, the link to this idea is no longer available):

Another option is to create a Stress-Be-Gone Spa in a Basket like Jamie at All That sRocks did. You can stock the basket with luxurious goodies like Vanilla Mint Body Scrub and Stress Away Bath Salt.

Homemade Body Scrub Recipes

Now that I’ve shared a few ways you could incorporate a homemade body scrub into a gift basket, let’s take a look at all the incredible homemade body scrub recipes I found. Almond, mint, citrus, pumpkin, gingerbread cookie, pomegranate, vanilla… the list of possibilities for making a homemade body scrub is endless. While most of the homemade body scrubs I found use sugar as the exfoliating agent, a few used salt and some even used coffee grounds.

I love all things body scrub! In fact, recently I made a big 1/2 gallon lavender scrub and have been totally enjoying my baths. These are some great ideas to add to my collection. Thank you for sharing with us at #homematters Linky party.
