Discover how easy it is to make peach freezer jam. You only need a few ingredients, a few mason jars, and a freezer. Now everyone can have fresh jam!

Hi everyone! It’s Sondra from Sondra Lyn at Home, and I’m back to share with you here at Ideas for the Home by Kenarry®. Today I’ll be sharing one of my favorite recipes – one that captures both the fresh taste of seasonal fruit, and fond memories as well – Peach Freezer Jam!

Make this Peach Freezer Jam recipe to preserve and enjoy the delicious fruit all year long.

Peach Freezer Jam Recipe

One of my very favorite things about summer is all the delicious, juicy seasonal fruits that are so abundant. And one of my favorites of those is peaches!

Peaches hold special memories for me and my family, because every year my parents would stop on our way down to the beach and pick up a car load of them! Who cared if you had to prop your feet up on a box on the way down? (Yes, you can buy peaches by the box full. Who knew??) We might not have room for that float, but we sure as heck had room for the peaches!

When we got settled into our condo, Mom would select the ripest ones, wash them, and chop them up into a huge plastic container. She’d sprinkle a little ‘fruit fresh’ on ’em and they’d be ready for snacking on at any time. What luxury that was… to just open the frig, take out that big bowl and scoop out mounds of peachy goodness on a whim!

Mom also thought it valuable to preserve some of that goodness for when the peaches weren’t plentiful, so she would make jam. Sometimes she cooked it, sometimes she didn’t, but it was always good. Nothing quite beats being able to slather bright, peachy preserves on a biscuit in the dead of winter!

Peach Freezer Jam Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need from the store. The exact amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.

To make this jam, you only need a few things:

  • Peaches
  • Granulated sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • Pectin
  • Mason jars
  • Freezer

What else can you use to make peach freezer jam?

If you don’t have pectin, you can always follow The Yummy Life’s tutorial and use lemon juice and sugar to gel the jam.

You can also make freezer jam out of plums and apricots.
