I really got to thinking about how nice it would be to give parents and teachers a little appreciation gift. There are so many people who help to make Halloween an enjoyable time. What about our wonderful school teachers who put up with everything that comes with the Halloween season?

What you need:

Download the free DIY printables
White cardstock
Scissors
Envelopes
Glue or tape runner
Candy or gift (optional)

Instructions:

1. Download and print

Sign up to get the free printable Halloween cards using the form earlier in this blog post. Then download the free PDFs and print your preferred Halloween designs. Remember to choose cardstock paper that is a bit thicker for the card base. Choosing the highest quality settings in your printer settings will give you the best quality print.

For the envelope liners (if you choose to use them) you can print on regular printer paper, so that they are easier to insert and glue to your envelopes. Print as many copies as you need!

2. Trim, fold, glue

The notecard printable will have to be cut out and folded in half. Pretty simple and easy to do. Then you can go ahead and write your message inside.

The envelope liner will have to be trimmed more or less depending on the particular size of your envelope. Designs have been based on standard sizes, but you might have to adjust accordingly.

Once you have the envelope liner cut out and sized, just fold the flap portion and glue that onto your envelope flap. You DO NOT have to glue the bottom rectangular portion, instead just leave it loose. That gives the paper breathing room when the envelope is opened and closed. You’ll prevent the wrinkles and air bubbles that sometimes form when gluing paper to paper.

2. Decorate and seal

Once you have your card ready, feel free to seal it inside your envelope with an added treat or candy bits inside. You can also cut out the circle sticker designs to glue onto the back of the envelope to seal and decorate. It’s a finishing touch that really shows that you put effort into the thank you card, even though it was a quick and easy DIY printable!
