Summer Spotlight: Introducing a New Weekly Series
THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. PLEASE SEE OUR FULL DISCLOSURE POLICY FOR DETAILS.
The Summer Spotlight is a collaborative effort to showcase great ideas from a different talented blogger each Friday throughout the summer months.
I’d like to introduce a new weekly series I’ll be hosting throughout the next three months called the Summer Spotlight. I’m thrilled to be co-hosting the series with three of my favorite bloggers, Katie at View from the Fridge, Susan at Oh, My! Creative and Ariean at One Krieger Chick. Starting Friday, June 13, we’ll be casting a spotlight on great ideas for the home from a different talented blogger each week. Be sure to subscribe to get these great ideas in your inbox!
Before we formally start the series next week, I’d like to cast the spotlight on my talented co-hosts and introduce them to you. Please swing by their websites and follow along to see the great ideas they share year-round:
Susan of Oh My! Creative
Susan likes to have fun and make fun things, especially if it involves DIY, decorating or design. Her site is both a personal blog as well as a creative community where others can share their fun ideas. Speaking of fun, my boys are going to love Susan’s Red, White and Blue Patriotic Pops this summer. If you’re a gardener, you’ve got to check out how she made a Spiral Vegetable Garden. I’m always on the look out for new breakfast recipes you make the night before, so her French Toast Casserole is also on my radar to try this summer.
Ariean of One Krieger Chick
Ariean is the type of gal who loves to decorate and redecorate, create, scrapbook, cook, read and generally has multiple projects going on at the same time. One of the coolest DIY projects I’ve seen is Ariean’s Outdoor Sofa made from a cast iron tub. It makes me wish I had an old tub laying around! She also recently shared an Italian Bruschetta Burger recipe that looked so good I nearly drooled on my computer. If you have as much scrap wood laying around your garage as we do, you should also check out her tutorial on how to make a Scrap Wood Pennant Banner.
Katie of View from the Fridge
Katie loves crafting, decorating, and dreaming up new projects for the home. Most recently, I’ve admired her DIY Koozies and the Herringbone Accent Wall she did in her sons’ bedroom. She’s also part of another fun summer series called “Think Outside the Toy Box” sharing fun kids’ activities with everyday household items other than traditional toys.
Please help me thank these ladies by stopping by their sites to say hello or better yet — by following them through social media. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
Be sure to come back next Friday and see who’s in the Summer Spotlight!
