Recipe Name Tips:
Prepare Sugared Cranberries
While sugared cranberries are not a requirement to make this drink, they sure do add to the Christmas cheer! I make up a batch ahead of time and keep them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer. They can be added to a cocktail pick for a pretty look, or just placed directly in the cocktail glass.
Sugared cranberries are not just for a cranberry whiskey cocktail. They can be added frozen to wine or champagne. Did I mention they look lovely on holiday desserts too? If you are a cranberry lover, they are also yummy to snack on.
Choose Your Favorite Whiskey
Since there are only a few ingredients in this cocktail, you want to make sure you are using the BEST ingredients that you can. That doesn’t mean you have to buy the most expensive bottle of whiskey.
Just buy your favorite, affordable brand. We tend to use Crown Royal Whiskey. You can even use Crown Royal apple whiskey to bring in another flavor. If you haven’t tried peanut butter whiskey yet, it is so yummy mixed with cranberry juice. It blends together like peanut butter and jelly!
Make This Recipe As A Punch
Another reason why I love this easy recipe for the holidays is that it’s so versatile. You can make it as a punch, add a sparkling soda to it, and whatever garnishes you like. Throw in sliced oranges with the cranberries too if you like. Easy peasy!
