Hi everyone! Amanda here from Old House to New Home, sharing one of my favorite easy dinner recipe ideas. This is truly the best ever easy air fryer taco recipe. Everyone loves tacos, but these are seriously taken up a notch, without any extra effort!

We love tacos in this house. Every single type of taco. Chicken tacos, beef tacos, pork tacos, really anything in a taco shell is a hit here! With our recent purchase of an air fryer, we learned that you can make tacos even better when you air fry them!

So why should you make tacos in the air fryer? The hard shells get extra crispy! Did you know that you should never serve corn tortillas straight from the box? They need to be cooked first!

When you air fry the tacos, the cheese gets all melted and crisps on the edges, which is SO good! I love to throw a ton of cheese on mine and then when they come out, top with lots of sour cream and Mexican hot sauce! Skip the bottled “taco sauces” and go for Mexican hot sauce, it will make your taco even better!

Crispy air fryer tacos

A couple tips that will make your air fryer tacos even better. First, when making hard shell tacos, I always recommend using Stand and Stuff Taco shells. These are SO much sturdier and you can fit so many more toppings!

They will stand up much better in the air fryer, as well. Two, if you haven’t ditched the store bought taco seasoning for the taco skillet sauce, you are missing out. Frontera Kitchen’s makes the most delicious taco seasoning and I will never make tacos without it. You can find it in any grocery store in the Hispanic Section!

  1. You should never use store bought taco shells.. so unauthentic. If you are using an airfryer, use corn tortillas and make your own.. its fast, easy and much better tasting too 😋
