Hey there Kenarry Readers! Trish here with a back to school thought. Well, I really have a plethora of back to school thoughts; however, there is one in particular that I would like to share. My thought is more of a photograph and free printable to document the coming school year.

It is not lost on me that our current times have caused uncertain school schedules and many of us have no idea when our children will begin the 2020-2021 school year. All things considered, I am looking onward and upward. Whether it be a later school start, continued distance learning, homeschooling, or another new education plan there will be a first day of school and there will be pictures on that day.

I have created an “about me” free printable first day of school chalkboard to document the day. Capture back to school photos with a chalkboard in hand to preserve and chronicle the memory.

This free printable was created for the 2020-2021 school year. However, for future school years there are additional chalkboards in both sizes (8×10 & 8.5×11) available in the Kenarry subscribers library that do not have a specific year printed on them.

Card Stock
Markers, Crayons, a Pen or Pencil
Free Printable 8×10 or 8.5×11 Chalkboard (from the Exclusive Kenarry Library)

Optional Supplies:

Picture Frame (with or without a matte)
Clipboard

Instructions:

Simply print the chalkboard then write the answers in the light colored boxes.

Hold the piece of card stock alone, attach it to a clipboard or place it in a picture frame. (If framed, you could use a dry erase marker on the glass rather than writing directly on the free printable.)

Then snap the first day of school picture! Memories saved.
