Do you have a golf loving dad? I have the perfect Father’s Day card for him!
Hello, I’m Amy and I blog at amylanham.com. I love giving cards for holidays, but they are so expensive!

Have you noticed that cards are getting more expensive? I used to buy them from the dollar section, but the number of cards they have available has been dwindling.
So I have resorted to printing out my cards instead. And honestly, it is so much better!
No one really minds that the card has been printed out, it saves me some money, and I still get to write a sweet note to the people I care about.
It is also much easier to pick the perfect card for the perfect person. Like this card. Have a dad that loves golf?
This is a card your father is sure to love. It’s about golf and has a pun on it! We all know dad’s love a good pun!

Golf Father’s Day Card tips:
Use card stock
It might be tempting to use another type of paper, but use thick paper. A cardstock that is at least 65 lbs is good.
I like a bright white cardstock, but there are multiple options to choose from. Cardstock is a thick paper and is ideal for items like cards and other printables because it won’t get distorted easily.
I always keep card stock on hand. Just make sure it’s a paper your printer can handle. Most printers shouldn’t have a problem, but it is always good to double check.

Use the guides
If you don’t have a paper cutter it’s not a problem. A paper cutter will make it easier to get straight lines.

But I included guides on the paper to make it as easy as possible to cut out the cards. That way if you don’t have a paper cutter it won’t be a problem.
Folding the Card
There is no special trick that I know to folding a card. Just start the fold and match up the edges before pressing on the seam.
It helps to run along the seam with something hard to get the perfect fold. A bone folder is a usual option, but I don’t have one.
I usually use my nail to get a nice crisp fold. It’s probably not the best for my nails, but I don’t make a lot of cards. And it works, so that’s what I do.
A Popsicle stick or the edge of scissors will also work. Just be careful not to fray the paper!

The Envelope
This card is 5″x7″ when finished. Choose an envelope that will fit the card, or give the card just as is. No gift needed! A card from you is gift enough.
