Try my snowman cookies. They are an easy-to-make treat. They only require a handful of ingredients and the whole family can enjoy them.
Hi everyone, It’s Erica from Messy Momma Crafts here to bring you an easy Christmas recipe. Yes, Christmas! I get so excited about Christmas, that is why I’m starting to get festive in November with these easy Snowman Cookies. But don’t worry, I won’t skip over Thanksgiving! I love me some turkey and ginger ale mixed with cranberry juice.
How to Make snowman cookies
The secret to these snowman cookies is I used store-bought cookies from the bakery at my local grocery store. You can also make homemade sugar cookies, but I love how simple they are to make.

Time-Saving Tools from the grocery store
I just love buying the cupcake icing bottles at the store. This orange was perfect for the snowman’s nose. And the M&M minis made the little faces.
A Piping bag is optional
I found that using a piping bag made frosting the cookies a lot faster. But if you don’t have a piping bag, you can just apply the frosting with a rubber spatula.
These don’t have to be perfect. In fact, that’s what makes them so fun!
Pull out the brown m&m minis
Again, if you want to have a rainbow snowman, you don’t have to sort through the M&M minis and pull out the brown ones. But it looks more authentic and like a snowman when you use brown for the eyes and smile.
What other kind of cookies could I use?
I love to use a store bought sugar cookie for these types of recipes because it makes everything so much easier. If you’d like to make your own sugar cookies, I recommend using a no spread sugar cookie dough recipe and using a cookie cutter to cut out the circle shapes. If you have Oreos on hand, use those and dip them in white chocolate first.
Could I make anything other than snowman?
Of course! Are you wanting to make something for Thanksgiving? Use a chocolate frosting and make the sugar cookies into Turkeys or use candy to make Turkey Cookies. The chocolate frosting would also be great to make Reindeer Cookies. That is what is so great about these premade sugar cookies, all the planning goes into decorating.
