Use good Craft Scissors

The first step in creating this beautiful white pumpkin decor is removing the flower buds from your faux flower bouquet / its respective stem. A good pair of craft scissors will work best for this. You want to make sure you don’t remove the entire bud from the stem and have all of the petals fall off, loose. You will want everything in-tact, so something still keeping the petals together from the center.

The best part about using faux pumpkins and faux flowers is that the piece will last forever! This piece of decor is budget-friendly as it is, and making sure that it lasts its longest will really mean you got the most bang for your buck!

can i use different colors?

Absolutely! I really love a monochromatic look, which is why I decided to pair a white pumpkin with white flowers, but you can opt for more color – especially with the flower arrangement. It’s all about what fits in your home best!

You can use this piece on your mantel, side table, etc. but I especially love it as a simple centerpiece. I am all about minimalist styling, and this piece of decor really fits the bill.

use flowers that are large and fluffy

For this project, the bigger the flowers, the better! You want the flowers to stand out as much as possible on top of your pumpkin, and even potentially cover the stem of the pumpkin. Plus, the larger flowers are easy to work with, and leave more room for error.

surround it with more flower buds

If you want to create more of a statement, purchase more faux flowers and cut off the buds to surround the base of the pumpkin. No need for gluing! You can just place it around directly on the table.
