DIY Coffee Scrub Tips:

Avoid Using Instant Coffee

For the sake of this recipe, we highly recommend you use non-instant coffee. Standard coffee grounds work best for this DIY.

Start with dry ingredients

When making this DIY Coffee Scrub, start with your dry ingredients to ensure they’re fully incorporated with one another. So, this means you are mixing the coffee, brown sugar and salt together before adding the extra virgin olive oil.

How do i use a coffee scrub?

Use this homemade coffee scrub to exfoliate your skin. It is a bit messy, so be sure to use it when you’ve hopped in the shower!

how often should i exfoliate?

Exfoliating can be rough on the skin if done too often. Most experts recommend 2-3 times a week but if you have any concerns, it’s best if you speak to your general doctor and/or dermatologist.

can i substitute any ingredients to this coffee scrub?

Yes, absolutely! If you prefer, you can use melted coconut oil to replace the extra virgin olive oil.

can i use this DIY coffee scrub on my face?

Facial exfoliators are a little less coarse than this DIY coffee scrub, so we recommend using this one on your body only.
