Learn how to make beautiful pressed flower bookmarks with parchment paper and cardstock. This is a fun and simple craft project.
Hello! Michelle back from Our Crafty Mom sharing beautiful pressed flower bookmarks that are super quick and easy to make.

Pressed flower crafts are one of my favorite projects to make with dried flowers. It is an inexpensive and affordable craft that comes together so quickly. Plus, you can include the kids by using hand picked flowers.
If you don’t have access to fresh flowers outside, no problem. You can save time by buying pressed dried flowers at your local craft store or online.

How to Make Pressed Flower Bookmarks
For the bookmarks I decided to use parchment paper for a vintage aged look. If this is not your style, you can secure the flowers directly to cardstock. The great thing about this craft is how versatile it is.
Make it your own by experimenting with watercolor paper, parchment paper or cardstock. Find the best look for you!

Pressed Flower Bookmarks
Lay Out The Flowers
The first thing you want to do is lay out the flowers you have selected onto your parchment paper. Don’t add the Mod Podge until you are happy with the placement.
Add Mod Podge
Once you are happy with the flowers, add a layer of Mod Podge directly to the parchment paper. Start with a light coat. You can always go back and add a bit more to touch it up.

Add another layer of mod podge over the top of the flowers.
Heat the Flowers
Now it’s time to press the flowers. Place another piece of parchment paper over the pressed flowers. Use an iron or EasyPress to press the flowers.
Start going over it slowly and check to ensure the flowers are secure. Continue pressing the flowers until they are attached.

Tear the parchment paper
To add to the vintage look of the bookmarks, I chose to tear the edges of the paper. Again, this is totally optional. You can trim the edges straight if you like that look better.

Glue to Cardstock
Glue the parchment paper flowers to cardstock cut to 2″x7″ for a standard size bookmark. You can adjust the size if you want them larger. Attach a pretty ribbon and you are done!
Beautiful inexpensive pressed flower bookmarks that you can use with your favorite book, or gift to book loving friends!
