Make beautiful DIY mason jar vases with a super fun boho look. They make a great addition to your home decor and would look great on a kitchen table, buffet table, or on a mantel.
Hello! I’m Michelle from Our Crafty Mom. I love crafting and decorating, especially for each season or holiday. An easy and inexpensive decorating idea is to add DIY mason jar flower vases to your home. Plus, mason jars can be updated in so many different ways. You can add fabric to them, paint them, or like I will show you today, decoupage them.
The gold and white modern boho decoupage paper is so pretty, but you can use any style or design paper that you like.
How to Make DIY Mason jar vases
These mason jar flower vases are inexpensive to make too, so you could make several design styles for each season if you want.

mason jar vase tips
add mod podge to the mason jar
Add a light layer of Mod Podge directly to the mason jar with the foam brush. A little goes a long way, so don’t add too much.
cut the decoupage paper to size
You can either cut the decoupage paper with scissors if you want a straight edge on the vase, or tear the paper like I did for a softer look.
Add mod podge to the paper
Lightly add Mod Podge to the underside of the decoupage paper. Again, less is more in this case.
add the paper to the mason jar
Place the paper on the mason jar and lightly pat it to remove any wrinkles. The paper is delicate, so be sure you use your fingertips to press any bumps, or wrinkles.
let the mod podge dry
Let the Mod Podge dry. You can add another coat of mod podge to the top if you want, but I liked the finish as it was, so I chose to leave that off.
display your mason jar flower vases
Add pretty flowers of your choice and enjoy your gorgeous DIY mason jar flower vases.
If you don’t want to use real flowers, you can also add silk. I found sunflowers at Trader Joe’s, but I can’t wait to see beautiful tulips displayed in these vases.
Wouldn’t these be pretty on an outside table for a get together, or even used in a wedding?
