Learn how to make a quick, easy, and beautiful Dollar Store Spring Wreath that is perfect for spring and Easter. Use inexpensive Dollar Store items!

Hi Kenarry readers! I’m Lisa from Life on Merlin and I’m so excited to share with you how to make this beautiful Dollar Store spring wreath. I just love how easy this project is and how wonderful it turned out. Plus, most of the supplies came from the Dollar Store! Can’t beat that!

I have a confession to make….I just took down my Christmas wreath last weekend. Yep, I didn’t change it out for New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day or St. Patrick’s Day. Terrible, right? How does the time pass by so quickly?

Well, since the snow has melted and yesterday was the first day of Spring, I decided that enough was enough! Time to get my Spring on and decorate with bright colors and flowers.

I love to make wreaths. They are a quick and easy way to decorate. Sometimes, though, I don’t like the cost of making a wreath. Ribbons and embellishments can be expensive. Enter…the Dollar Store! I love the Dollar Store (who doesn’t, right?). Everything that I used to make this wreath (except the Styrofoam base) was purchased at the Dollar Store for a grand total of $6.00!

In this ultimate guide, you'll learn how to make a burlap wreath with ribbon for your home. The FREE eBook includes easy step-by-step instructions plus inspiring craft and decor ideas to make wreaths for fall, Christmas, Easter and other holidays.

Dollar Store Spring Wreath Supplies:

  • Styrofoam Beveled Wreath (mine is 14″ x 2″ x 2-1/2″)
  • 2 spools of ribbon – 3 yards, 2.5″ wide
  • 1 pack of foam shapes – butterflies
  • Flowers – 1 yellow and 1 pink
  • 1 Spring scarf
  • Glue and glue gun
  • Wire cutters
  • Scissors

What You Do:

Using a glue gun, glue one end of the ribbon to the base and wrap. One spool should go about 1/2 way around so you will need both.

All wrapped up!

Here are the beautiful flowers that I used for the wreath. Yes, they were $1 each!

Use wire cutters to cut some of the flowers from the stems. I used 5 of the yellow carnations and 6 of the little pink flowers.

Use scissors to poke a hole through the ribbon and styrofoam. Put some hot glue on the end of the yellow flowers and put them into the holes. I spaced out the flowers on the lower half of the wreath.

Take a couple of the foam butterflies, fold them in half and glue them to the wreath. Only put the glue on the body so they are not laying flat. You can refer to the picture at the beginning and end of the post to see where I placed them.

Add the little pink flowers in the other spaces between the yellow flowers.

Slide some leaves off the stem and glue them in between the flowers.

Well, I may have taken down my Christmas wreath, but the snowman and sled just got put away last weekend. But, it feels like it’s been a long winter. Not a very snowy winter, just long. Thanks for the Spring wreath inspiration!
