Download and print this two page monthly calendar printable for 2021 so you can start planning for the upcoming year.

Hello! This is Linda from tortagialla and I love designing and sharing digital printables. Today I’m sharing a two page monthly calendar printable for 2021. I’ve also included a blank template for those who want more customization. It’s perfect for home planning and kids who need more space for writing and decoration.

I’m a huge fan of writing things down and planning ahead for the upcoming months. It’s nice to see an overview of the month for our family schedule all together. However, I’m always wanting more space. Traditional monthly calendar layouts are definitely limited in size and difficult for little kids with big handwriting to use.

However, not only do I want more space for writing down information, I also want more room for decorations! I let my kids use colored markers and stickers to represent events as well as to track habits.

So that’s why I created a monthly calendar printable on two pages. There’s a large daily box and plenty of extra space on the bottom for even more notes.

I’ve created dated monthly calendar printables for the entire year of 2021 for download. They have a Monday start which helps orient my kids regarding the start of the school week. That way the weekend is grouped together on the right, which is easier for planning especially when events span from Saturday to Sunday.

However, I’m also including a blank template at the end for those who want to go full DIY. You can print out copies of the final pages and make your own custom monthly calendar. It’s a fun activity, especially if your kids are old enough to label and date their own pages.

TIPS FOR using these monthly calendar printables

CHECK YOUR printer SETTINGS

Digital printables are easy to use, but I understand the hesitation if you are not familiar with the process. Rest assured it is a simple process that you’ll pick up in no time!

The most important thing to remember is to check your settings before hitting that print button. Every printer has their own setting dialog box, so take some time to get used to your personal setup.

The important things to check before hitting print include paper size, layout, color settings and quality settings. Finally, carefully look at the print preview to see if everything looks good.

PRINT A TEST PAGE FIRST

Even when we check all our settings, sometimes we might have skipped over a detail. For monthly calendars, it should be pretty straightforward to print. But for the sake of saving paper, always print a test page printing the whole document.

For these monthly calendar printables, print two pages so you can see the whole month. Once everything looks good, you can go ahead and print the rest of the pages. This process makes it easier to catch mistakes early on and not have to reprint or waste paper.

DECORATE AND USE EMBELLISHMENTS FOR YOUR KIDS

The main reason I started creating these large calendars was to start introducing planning to my little kids. They first learned the days of the week and now they have a visual representation of schedules and special dates.

Remember to make it a fun process by adding stickers for certain events or drawing a picture for holidays. We also track various details for each child, so tiny stickers represent a habit making it a bit of a competition between my two kids. I often find them fighting over who gets to add another sticker!

So raid your craft stash and find all the supplies that you can incorporate. If you have more than one child, they might want their own personal calendar to decorate! So thankfully with digital printables it’s easy to print as many copies as you need! Also, here are some great embellishment options if you’re just getting started:

  • Holiday and seasonal stickers
  • Classic planner stickers for goals and “to do” lists
  • Female empowerment and inspirational stickers
